Nemours Mansion and Gardens in Wilmington, DE
For the holidays we took a little visit with some family to one of the Dupont mansions. The home is supposedly furnished the way it was left, and decked out for Christmas with a tree in every room. Although the staff kept complaining about the weather, and insisting that spring is the best season to come for a visit, I’d argue that winter is just as good a time as any to see the grounds of the estate. This past weekend we went camping at Worlds End State Park in PA. It was the perfect weekend with sunny skies and highs in the mid 70’s.
